Converting a PowerPoint presentation to InDesign online is a two-step process. First, you need to convert your PowerPoint file into a PDF, and then this PDF can be imported into Adobe InDesign. Please note, however, that this method might lead to the loss of some features and formatting during the conversion process.
Step 1: Converting PowerPoint to PDF
Open your PowerPoint presentation. Go to “File” > “Save As” > choose the location where you want to save > in the “Save as type” drop-down menu, select “PDF” > “Save”. Now, you have a PDF version of your PowerPoint presentation.
Step 2: Importing PDF to Adobe InDesign
Open Adobe InDesign and create a new document. Go to “File” > “Place” or use the shortcut Ctrl+D (Cmd+D for Mac). Navigate and select the PDF file you created earlier, then click “Open”. The PDF file will now be placed into your InDesign document.
Please note, this process won’t convert your PowerPoint slides into editable InDesign layers. It will place these slides as images within InDesign. For more precise control over the design and layout, recreating the slides from scratch in InDesign may be preferable.
