To make a PowerPoint slideshow play automatically, you need to adjust the settings in your presentation. Here is a step-by-step guide on how to achieve this:
- Firstly, open your PowerPoint presentation.
- Click on the ‘Slide Show’ tab located at the top of the screen.
- In the ‘Set Up’ group, click on the ‘Set Up Slide Show’ button. A dialog box will appear.
- Under the ‘Show options’ section, check the box next to ‘Loop continuously until ‘Esc”. This option will let your slideshow repeat indefinitely until you press the ‘Esc’ key.
- In the ‘Advance slides’ section, click on the ‘Using timings, if present’ option. This will allow your slides to advance automatically according to the timings you have set for each slide.
- Click ‘OK’ to close the dialog box and save your settings.
To set timings for each slide:
- Click on the ‘Transitions’ tab.
- Uncheck the box next to ‘On Mouse Click’.
- Check the box next to ‘After’ and input the desired amount of time you want each slide to be displayed before moving to the next one.
- Click on ‘Apply To All’ to apply the same timing to all slides. If you want different timings for each slide, you must select each slide and set the timing individually.
