How can I make the background of a picture transparent in PowerPoint?

To make the background of a picture transparent in PowerPoint, follow the steps below:

  1. Open your PowerPoint presentation and navigate to the slide where you want to add a transparent image.
  2. Click on ‘Insert’ from the top menu bar, and then select ‘Pictures’ from the dropdown menu. Browse and select the image from your computer that you want to make transparent and click on ‘Insert’.
  3. Once your picture is on the slide, click on it to select it. You’ll notice that the ‘Picture Tools’ tab appears at the top of PowerPoint. Click on this tab.
  4. Under the ‘Picture Tools’ tab, click on ‘Format’. In the ‘Adjust’ group, click on ‘Color’.
  5. In the dropdown menu that appears, go to the bottom and click on ‘Set Transparent Color’.
  6. Your cursor will change into a pen with a small arrow. Click on the part of the image that you want to make transparent. The color you click on will become transparent throughout the entire image.

Note: This method works best with images that have a solid background color. If you have a more complex image where you want to make multiple colors transparent, or if the image uses gradients, you may need to use a more advanced graphic editing tool to achieve the desired result.
