How can I self-record a presentation on PowerPoint?

Recording a presentation in PowerPoint is a straightforward process, which can be highly beneficial for remote meetings, webinars, or online classes. Here are the steps you need to follow:

1. Open Your Presentation

Begin by opening PowerPoint and navigating to the presentation you wish to record.

2. Go to the Slide Show Tab

Click on the ‘Slide Show’ tab located at the top of the PowerPoint application.

3. Click on Record Slide Show

Within the ‘Slide Show’ tab, click on ‘Record Slide Show’. You can choose to record from the current slide or from the beginning of the presentation.

4. Record Your Presentation

A new window will appear, and your recording will start automatically. You can narrate your presentation, annotate your slides, and use PowerPoint’s in-built laser pointer tool to highlight specific points.

5. Save Your Recording

Once you’ve finished recording, click on the square ‘Stop’ button. PowerPoint will automatically save your recording on each slide. Simply click the ‘Play’ button to review your recording.

6. Save Your PowerPoint

Finally, don’t forget to save your PowerPoint presentation with the recorded slide show by clicking ‘File’ > ‘Save’.

Note: Keep in mind that PowerPoint doesn’t record audio or video during transitions between slides, so don’t speak while transitions are playing.
