Using the “Find and Replace” feature in PowerPoint to change fonts throughout your presentation can be a real time-saver. Here’s a step-by-step guide:
Step 1: Open the PowerPoint Presentation
Firstly, open the PowerPoint presentation where you want to change the font. Make sure you’re on the Home tab in the PowerPoint toolbar.
Step 2: Access the Replace Font Dialog Box
Next, look for the ‘Replace’ button in the ‘Editing’ group on the right-hand side of the toolbar. Click on it to open a drop-down menu and select the ‘Replace Fonts’ option. This will open the ‘Replace Font’ dialog box.
Step 3: Select the Font to be Replaced
In the ‘Replace Font’ dialog box, you’ll see two drop-down menus. In the ‘Replace’ drop-down menu, select the font you want to replace. This should be the current font used in your presentation.
Step 4: Choose the New Font
Then, in the ‘With’ drop-down menu, select the new font that you would like to use in your presentation. This should be the font you want to change to.
Step 5: Execute the Font Change
Click the ‘Replace’ button to execute the change. PowerPoint will automatically replace all instances of the old font with the new one you selected.
It’s important to note that this method will replace the font in your entire presentation, including the title, body text, and even the footnotes. So, make sure you choose the new font carefully.
Also, remember to preview your presentation after making the changes to ensure that the new font works well with your design and layout. If it doesn’t, simply repeat the steps above to try a different font.
